And I'm in real deep
From the beginning to the end
He was no more than a friend to me
The thought is makin' me hazy
I think I better sit down
Cause like the sweetest serenade
Bet he knows he's got it made with me
Twisting round on a carousel
This speeds' too much to stop
One second I'm thinkin' I'm feeling the lust
And then I feel a lie
Ooh that man is like a flame
And ooh that man plays me like a game
My only sin is I can't win
Ooh I wanna love that man
Ooh that man is on my list
And ooh that man I wanna kiss
My only sin is I can't win
Ooh I wanna love that man
Now it's like I'm on a mission
Headed everywhere
And if it takes a little long
And it feels a little wrong, who cares?
My baby fits the description
And does it easily
A little Gable, some Astaire
When he dances I can hardly breathe
Someone call a doctor
Need some help to rescue me
One second I'm thinkin' I must be lost
And he keeps on findin' me
Ooh that man is like a flame
And ooh that man plays me like a game
My only sin is I can't win
Ooh I wanna love that man
Ooh that man is on my list
And ooh that man I wanna kiss
My only sin is I can't win
Ooh I wanna love that man

[Man speaking:]
"You know, I've been calling you for about two days now and I eh...
I wanted to see you darling, I really do, you know, because...
I think of you and eh...
All of me kind of goes a little bit crazy, so eh...
I believe it's a matter darling...
You should phone me, and we will have...
A night at the Cos Bar that neither of us will ever forget.
A beautiful evening of love, lust and paradise.
You can make it nice, call me back.
On Riverside at 42239.
Ciao ciao."
PLEASE DO NOT PLAY THIS
Caro Emerald is a product of a Japanese investment group who invested in some dutch producers who hired a jazz student singer.
There is NO MAGIC here...
(I just donated to emphasize my point)
Where did you get that from? As far as I can tell, that is not true.

You must be tons of fun at parties!
He most definitely is not
Annoying sound.
Cut off upon first notes!!
Good. Now go away, we have no Randys at this party.
Randy, huh, are you a porn star or something?
This is not that sort of party.
It's just good funky fun, somewhat like Cab Calloway and other 40s people like Andrews sisters. Good fun
I Agree! GREAT TUNE!! Thanx RP!

Oh yah baby
Very well stated!

Annoying sound.

Same for me. While youtubing her stuff I ran into a group "Speakeasy 3" also a fun band.

Thank You for the info!

I Agree completely! Thanx RP!

Yeah..... they totally ripped off 2010 Earth music.....
Cantina Scene Star Wars
I'm not a religious man, but Ecclesiastes 1:9, dude.
I bet your design is derivative of something, even if you aren't conscious of it. You don't exist in a vacuum, after all.
Also, this song is fun. Not every song needs to be a startlingly new concept wrapped in a never-before-seen package, and thank goodness for that, because we'd only have maybe a dozen songs were that so!
No shit! Very well put!
Thanks RP for introducing me to this wonderful artist!

I would seem to be in the minority here, but i love Caro's music.
I hear ya!

Thanks RP for introducing me to this wonderful artist! This kind of swings. Growin' on me.
You Bet!! RP introduced me to Caro, now I love a LOT of her songs! Thanx RP!
Reminds me of Imelda May. Would like to hear some of her on RP.
Imelda May and Jeff Beck at the Iridium...?-)

it's Friday afternoon.
Play some rock n roll.
This song may have been derived from swing, but it doesn't actually swing at all, it's straight time. I met my partner learning to swing dance, and he plays in a Big Band.. That said, I enjoy this and find it toe-tapping, even if it's no good for swingouts and fast lindy.
agreed
They have three stomachs so they can produce three times the tripe.
I kinda dig this tune, too.
PRO TIP: Don't listen to mainstream radio, and evaluate songs on their own merits instead!
Ugh, more derivative tripe. Sorry, I just chafe at all the revisitation that goes on in the "creative" enterprises. As a design professional, I can assure one and all that there is no creation in the redo. Movies, TV shows, music, architecture, cuisine...pffff!!! It's become all tripe; that's why cows have 3 stomachs, so they can continue to digest what that already ate.

Ciao ciao
Can you name a few of the bands that sound exactly like this please?
Actually, tonight it's Mocean Worker's "Shooby Shooby Do Yah!". So it's boo hoo hoo for you.

Not the Faux Jazz! Never that!
You make me crazy go nuts, if you know what what I mean, and you know who you are.

True dat. We need an antidote to those comments...............try the one near Carnaby Street, Antidote restaurant, that is.
What we need is an antidote to people who think they can draw up an entire psychological profile on someone, based on their reaction to a song. I'm a very happy person and this song, which I gave a 5, did nothing to dampen that.

+1

Well said!
As pleasant as that hit Doop from a few decades back!
And I want to hear this again as much as I want to hear Doop again!

ONce, maybe twice a decade. Any more and I'm grabbing the remote...
Love it! Thank you RP, for introducing me to Caro Emerald.
...... that women

Just sooo annoying.....

Indeed. She's a whole lotta beautiful woman. And, she can sing!
Easy. Just hear for the third time and it is as tiresome as any other gimmick song...
Good song but there were no answering machines when the phone numbers had 5 digits.
Just nit picking I know.
Incorrect.

Not just you, midigitguy, but all y'all naysayers might want to expand your horizons.
Sheesh. And I still think it's Johnny Depp's voice.
That's why we're here, after all. I love this song although there are others on the album I like better.
Johnny Depp channeling Billy Crystal channeling Fernando Lamas?
