I listen to a lot of heavy metal, and so I am accustomed to music that many consider "just noise." This sounds like "just noise" to me most of the time, but then I hear flashes of...something, and I think I find the sounds to be enjoyable, if chaotic and kind of painful. It's all anchored by the rhythm and bass, which feels like a lifeline in an otherwise overwhelming experience. It reminds me of really intense metal experiences, when I skirt the edge of panic, or being buffeted around by ocean waves close to shore and you lose sense of up for a while, though you know you're in 4 feet of water and likely safe. It's unpleasant and exhilarating. Solid 7 for all the good and bad feelings.

This is a 7 for me for sure, but I bumped it to an 8 on account of my "Joni rule" where I rate Joni Mitchell songs one rank higher, to counter the negative votes.

This is very "four hours into a jazz festival at the Hollywood Bowl when nobody's paying attention anymore"

Wonderful to hear her on RP Main mix! This is an excellent album overall. I was fortunate to see her several years back - incredible voice and band.

Wow, I haven't head this since my music collection was lost  in a fire a few years ago.  The entire album is fantastic and would definitely qualify as a desert island selection for me.  I was actually going to suggest Cassandra Wilson for the RP playlist but then forgot.  

This is an instant 10 for me!
